4. Grate fresh root ginger using a grater or food processor and add it to the pot.

5. Add cinnamon sticks (Mdalasini) to the pot.

6. For added flavor, you can add spices like Basil leaves(Omujaaja), lemongrass(Kisubi), cloves, or other desired spices.

7. Let the mixture boil for 2-3 minutes.

9. Depending on your preferences, you can add sugar or honey.

8. Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes.

9. Remove/filter out the cinnamon sticks.
